$500 Million historic charitable aid in Afghanistan

Azizi Foundation is proud to make this historic and unprecedented USD $500 million charitable aid as well as an investment in the energy production sector on behalf of Azizi Group.

A ceremony was held in Kabul for this occasion, attended by Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, as well as cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials, businessmen, industrialists, and a large number of our fellow countrymen.

Regarding charitable aid, the Azizi Foundation will build a large medical complex in Kabul, which will include the following components:
•A fully equipped 400-bed cancer treatment hospital
•A fully equipped 200-bed maternity and gynecology hospital
•An orphanage with a capacity of 10,000 children, including accommodation, school, and health center
•A medical university
•A nursing school (midwifery)
•Dormitories for students
•A residential complex for employed doctors and professors

With the total cost of $500 million US dollars, this medical complex will be built on 350 jeribs of land in Kabul’s 8th district. It will be named “Farishta Azizi Medical City” to honor the memory of Mr. Mirwais Azizi’s late daughter.

Farishta Azizi Medical City will be a non-profit institution, established solely to provide advanced medical, educational, and training services free of charge to our underprivileged compatriots.

On the investment front, in line with the previous commitment to the people of Afghanistan, Mr. Mirwais Azizi was honored to announce a five-year investment plan worth a total of $10 billion on behalf of Azizi Group, with a primary focus on the energy production sector.

As part of this initiative the first project—a 200-megawatt solar power plant in Kabul — will begin work tomorrow and is expected to be completed within 8 months. Our commitment is that by the end of this five-year investment plan, we will be able to establish dozens of power production centers with a total capacity of 10,000 megawatts across the entire country.

Mr. Mirwais Azizi expressed his deep appreciation for the hospitality of the esteemed people officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the warm welcome from fellow Afghans, he sincerely hoped that the combined efforts — including charitable donations and economic investments — will serve as a small ray of hope for our people who have endured many years of hardship and deprivation. We also pray to Almighty God for the strength and ability to continue serving our beloved Afghanistan and our dignified nation.
